'Perthshire Big Tree Country's award winning The Enchanted Forest sound and light show is a feast for your senses. The 2011 event takes place in The Explorers Garden in Pitlochry and offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the outdoors, at night and with spectacular imagery.
Using the woodland garden as a natural backdrop, you will experience a lighting show that is, quite simply, out of this world.' - http://www.enchantedforest.org.uk/about.aspx
To put it simply by going to the Enchanted Forest I learned so much about light just by looking at it. This has been the greatest form of research that I have done, sure you can look at books, go online to look for research but by going out and experiencing it all for yourself is truly the best way to acquire knowledge.
I have many photos that capture what this forest has to offer and by going around and seeing how the different light setups and colour vary is remarkable. It feels like a different world when walking around and it has made me realise just the sheer importance light has to convey any mood or atmosphere.
Below is a 5min video of the lights in action, which shows different colours of light and projection patterns that bring the forest to life, also accompanied with a great score to capture the moment; I recommend everyone goes there, what an experience!
If you think those videos were really cool I got loads of amazing pictures capturing the light in different ways and colours. They are just 57 of over 200 photos that I took, hopefully this help inspire people with their ideas just as it's done for me!
