Environments Narrative: Bambi

Rob Richards created background art for the film Bambi. He is really good at directing the viewers eye to where the stage of the scene is. Below as you can see with the warm colours in the centre surrounded by cold and darker colours we know where action is going to take place.

The environments that I create will tell a story and be subtle like the image above. The setting looks natural but when looking closer there is intentions in there to help sell the piece. The blues help push the background into the distance and warm reds and browns bring the rocks to the foreground. The silhouette of the tree create an unsettling feeling that makes the scene uncomfortable.
